Our Family Story

Michelle and Adam met in 2004 when Michelle was in Medical School at USC in Los Angeles, CA. Adam asked a friend to introduce him to some "hot, Christian med students" and after a few short weeks, Michelle was our friends answer. We met on his birthday in 2004 and quickly began dating. We knew that God had something special for us when after only dating three weeks Adam announced that he knew that he could marry Michelle some day. God gave Adam a vision of serving with and supporting Michelle overseas and then she knew that Adam could be the man with whom she would spend the rest of her life. We were married in July of 2006 and have been enjoying life's adventures together ever since.

Michelle felt God's burden for justice while she was in college. She applied to Medical School with the heart to use the skills she could gain to go and help people where ever she would be. Through that process she has learned how much God wants to see people restored physically and spiritually and how her position as a physician gives her access into people's lives. She feels a deep passion to teach and encourage people so that they can in turn go and change their world. She hopes to use this gift of teaching and encouragement to teach medical professionals to be lovers of Christ and to be compassionate and skilled health care providers to their communities and beyond.

Adam is called to be a great support to Michelle and to partner with her on her calling overseas. He hopes to use his skills as an engineer and an organizer to be a resource wherever we go. He loves to learn new skills, ideas, technologies, and is looking forward to learning how life is lived in other parts of the world as well as sharing his knowledge and skills with the people he meets there as well.

We both love to encourage people in their faith and are continuously in awe of how Jesus' life changed the world and continues to change us as individuals and as a couple. We are excited to see lives and communities changed by learning about and meeting Jesus.

We have been blessed with a wonderful baby boy, Cole, born in February of 2013. We are trusting God and his perfect timing for our family while working and living abroad and that He will be faithful through all the challenges that we will certainly face.
